Jackson County resident Avram Friedman will visit City Lights Bookstore at 3 p.m. Saturday to present his new book, “The Truth About Plumbing.”
Friedman’s latest is a unique, humorous, philosophical and educational plunge into the universe of methods modern humanity employs to satisfy its need for freshwater distribution and use.
For most of his life, Friedman has been a grassroots political activist and community organizer on issues related to peace, preserving the Earth’s environment, and working for social and economic justice. He maintains his North Carolina Plumbing Contractor’s license to this day, although he no longer engages in the practice. He has also written “Silver Maple Conspiracy” and “Asteroid Hits the White House.”
To reserve copies of his books call City Lights Bookstore at 586-9499.
