Bike Rodeo 2022

The Jackson County Recreation Center hosted the annual Jackson County Bike Rodeo on Saturday, May 7, a free event for all Jackson County youth.

Participants visited a variety of stations – bike safety checks, new helmet fittings and inspections, learn-to-ride course, advanced skills course for all ages and group rides. All participants received a helmet, bike lights and bike bells. There were approximately 150 attendees including youth, parents, community sponsors and volunteers.

A bike raffle was held at the end of the event. Winners and bike sponsors include the following: Kipper Dean, strider bike sponsored by Motion Makers Bike Shop; Evan Harley, 16-inch Huffy Red Rock sponsored by Woodmen Life; Asa Crisp, 20-inch Shocker Mountain Bike sponsored by Wilson Family Chiropractic; Kevin Harris, 20-inch bike sponsored by Mobile Bike Aid; Hattie Friddle, 24-inch bike sponsored by Mountain Ear, Nose and Throat Associates; and Julie Bassett, 26-inch shocker mountain bike sponsored by Woodmen Life.
