Triple Threat

Triple Threat Performing Arts Academy competed against dozens of dance studios from around the state and area for top honors at Showstopper, the largest dance competition in the country.

Their entries placed as follows:

“Sittin’ on the Dock of the Bay” received third place in Teen Advanced Small, “Remembered” received second place in Teen Advanced Small, “Baby Workout” received sixth place in Junior Advanced Small, “Wild Horses” received seventh place in Junior Advanced Small, “I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away” received sixth place in Mini Performance Small and “You’ve got a Friend in Me” received third place in Mini Performance Small.

“Extra! Extra!” received first place in Teen Advanced Super, Claire Spilliards received eighth place in Teen Advanced Solo, Caroline Spilliards received sixth place in Senior Advanced Solo, Reese Williamson received fourth place in Teen Advanced Solo and Zoe Walkingstick received eighth place in Teen Advanced Solo.

Lily Luopa received first place in Teen Advanced Solo, “Something in the Air” received second place in Teen Advanced Duet/Trio, Elle Williamson received fourth place in Junior Advanced Solo, Makaula Lambert received first place in Junior Advanced Solo and Cheyenne Nicholson received eighth place in Junior Advanced Solo.

Katie Carpenter received 10th place in Junior Advanced Solo, Kenya Wright received first place in Senior Performance Solo, “Wanna Dance with Somebody” received sixth place in Junior Advanced Duet/Trio and Penny Tissue received fifth place in Mini Performance Solo.

Triple Threat Performing Arts Academy received six double platinum awards, 14 platinum awards and two gold awards.

This qualifies them for the Showstopper National Finals this summer.
