The Jackson County Arts Council will host Make Art Happen! on the following Saturdays: April 9, June 4, Aug. 6 and Oct. 1, from 8:30-10:30 p.m.

Bring sketch books, journals, easels, chairs and preferred media or craft to create alongside other Jackson County artists. These events are created to be a gathering space for Jackson County and Western North Carolina artists of all mediums – visual art, performing arts and music 

JCAC is hosting the events to engage with and support “the talented and diverse Jackson County Artist Community.” This is not intended as a sales event.

 

The events will take place at various locations throughout Jackson County.

 

• April 9 – Cashiers Historical Society.

• June 4– Appalachian Women’s 

                  Museum, Dillsboro.

• Oct. 1  – Bicentennial Park, Sylva.
