Medal winners in the Smoky Mountain Senior Games held over the past month are listed below. These medal winners qualify for competition in the North Carolina Senior Games State Finals scheduled for the last week of September in Raleigh.

In the women’s 60-64 year age group winners and events are:

Terri Jiang: Gold medal pickleball singles, pickleball doubles, pickleball mixed doubles.

In the women’s 65-69 year age group winners and events are:

Jackie Moore: Gold medal pickleball doubles, pickleball mixed doubles.

LouAnn Smith: Gold medal in golf.

In the women’s 70-74 year age group winners and events are:

Annie Harlow: Gold medal in softball throw, basketball shooting, croquet, shot put, bowling singles; Silver medal in 5K power walk; first place, basket weaving, weaving, quilting, performing arts; second place, life experience; third place, acrylics.

Sydney Hart: completed the SilverStriders fun walk; first place, life experience, poem, short story; second place, acrylics.

Deborah Hussey: Gold medal in 5K power walk; first place, performing arts; second place, needlework.

Gayle Woody: Gold medal in bocce, cornhole.

In the women’s 75-79 year age group winners and events are:

Nettie Jenkins: Gold medal in croquet, shuffleboard, cornhole; completed the SilverStriders fun walk; first place, acrylics.

Marcelle Martin: first place, needlework.

Patsy Williams: Gold medal in mini golf, bowling doubles; Silver medal in shuffleboard, cornhole; completed the SilverStriders fun walk.

In the women’s 80-84 year age group winners and events are:

Patti Newman: Gold medal in softball throw, basketball shooting, football throw, bocce, cornhole, table tennis, mini golf, bowling doubles, billiards, bowling singles.

In the women’s 85-89 year age group winners and events are:

In the women’s 90-94 year age group winners and events are:

Carrie Lanay: Gold medal in softball throw, football throw, cornhole; completed the SilverStriders fun walk.
