An administrative term of Jackson County Superior Court convened June 8 at the Justice Center with Judge Brad Letts presiding.

Results of the term are listed below, with information obtained from records on file with the Jackson County Clerk of Court office. Defendants pleaded guilty unless indicated otherwise. In addition to dismissals and cases reported earlier, dispositions included:

Angel Marie Brown, 29, Waynesville, possess fentanyl, sentence of 45 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition she pay costs and continue treatment for substance abuse and mental health assessment; another count of possess fentanyl, sentence of 45 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition she pay fine of $25 and costs.

Edge Fortner, 30, Bryson City, possess drug paraphernalia, sentence of 45 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $25 and costs and obtain substance abuse and mental health assessments, given credit for four days served; possess Schedule III substance, sentence of 45 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $25 and costs.

Richard Scott Mason, 48, Robbinsville, possess drug paraphernalia, sentence of 77 days, given credit for 77 days served.

Tami Lynn Thornhill, 51 Dark Ridge Road, Sylva, obtain property by false pretense and failure to appear on felony, sentence of not less than 13 nor more than 25 months, given credit or 68 days served, ordered to pay costs and make restitution of $8,000, have no contact with victims or co-defendants, substance abuse treatment, psychiatric and/or psychological counseling, work release and DART program recommended.

Miranda Leigh Marr, 28, Martin Road, Whittier, possess drug paraphernalia, fined $50.

David Gerald Mathis, 34, Waynesville, admitted to a probation violation, probation revoked and sentence of not less than five nor more than 15 months activated, given credit for 57 days served, substance abuse treatment, psychiatric and/or psychological counseling, work release and DART program recommended.

Yosheico T. Curney, 40, Concord, Alford plea to felony flee to elude arrest, received deferred prosecution placed on unsupervised probation for 12 months, ordered to pay fine of $50 and costs and obtain substance abuse and mental health evaluation.

Travis Ryan Parker, 48, Tuck View Lane, Sylva, was found in violation of probation, sentence of 90 days, given credit for 67 days served.
