A term of Jackson County Superior Court convened Feb. 14 at the Justice Center with Judge Daniel Kuehnert presiding.

Results of the term are listed below, with information obtained from records on file with the Jackson County Clerk of Court office. Defendants pleaded guilty unless indicated otherwise. In addition to dismissals and cases reported elsewhere, dispositions included:

Annette Marie Blackwell, 42, Inman, S.C., possess stolen goods/property, sentence of 120 days, given credit for 120 days served; conspire to commit financial card fraud, sentence of 120 days, given credit for 120 days served.

Molly Jo Riggs, 43, Pyramid Place, Sylva, admitted to a probation violation, probation extended 24 months.

James Richard Holleran, 40, Armour Road, Whittier, admitted to a probation violation, probation extended 30 months.

Jacob Scott Johnson, 23, Hendersonville, possess cocaine, placed on unsupervised probation for 24 months, ordered to pay costs.

Colby Edward Bennett, 27, Grace Court, Tuckasegee, possess methamphetamine, sentence of not less than six nor more than 17 months suspended for 48 months and placed on supervised probation, given credit for five days served; admitted to a probation violation, probation revoked and sentence of not less than six nor more than 17 months activated, given credit for 164 days served.

Stephen Jeremiah Penninger, 35, Luker Branch Road, Tuckasegee, possess firearm by felon and possess methamphetamine, sentence of not less than 17 nor more than 30 months, given credit for 180 days served; admitted to a probation violation, probation revoked and sentence of not less than 19 nor more than 32 months activated, given credit for 180 days served, sentences to run concurrently, work release recommended.
