Two sessions of Jackson County District Court were held last week at the Justice Center.

Judge Donna Forga presided at a session mainly for traffic cases June 14, and Judge Tessa Sellers presided at a session for other cases June 15.

Results of the sessions are listed below, with information obtained from records on file with the Jackson County Clerk of Court office. Defendants pleaded guilty unless indicated otherwise. In addition to dismissals and infractions, dispositions included:

June 14

Carl Logan Luker, 40, Old Cullowhee Road, Cullowhee, driving while impaired – level five, sentence of not less than nor more than 60 days suspended for 12 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition he pay fine of $100 and costs, obtain substance abuse assessment, surrender driver’s license and perform 24 hours community service.

Justin Benjamin Woolard, 20, Greensboro, driving while impaired – level five, sentence of not less than nor more than 60 days suspended for 12 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition he pay fine of $100 and costs, obtain substance abuse assessment, surrender driver’s license and perform 24 hours community service.

Phillip Johnson Thomas, 29, Safari Drive, Sylva, was found guilty of driving while impaired – level two, sentence of not less than nor more than 12 months suspended for 36 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $350 and costs, obtain substance abuse assessment, surrender driver’s license and perform 90 hours community service.

Lauren Renee Mounce, 23, Hendersonville, driving while impaired – level five, sentence of not less than nor more than 60 days suspended for 12 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition she pay fine of $100 and costs, obtain substance abuse assessment, surrender driver’s license and perform 24 hours community service.

Paul Adam Price, 50, Bigwitch Road, Cherokee, driving while license revoked and expired registration, fined $50 and costs.

Tommy Lee Henderson, 37, Bryson City, possess stolen goods, sentence of 33 days and ordered to make restitution, given credit for 33 days served.

June 15

Chonsi Richard Martinez, 23, Bryson City, assault inflicting serious injury, sentence of 45 days suspended for 12 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition he make restitution of $2,947 and have no contact with victim.

Steven Mason Coggins, 22, Zeb Alley Road, Cashiers, possess drug paraphernalia, fined $75 and costs and ordered to obtain substance abuse assessment.

Heather Riann Hoyle, 43, Dark Ridge Road, Sylva, possess drug paraphernalia, sentence of 45 days suspended for 12 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition she pay fine of $50 and costs.

Edward Allen Dubisz, 48, Waxhaw, disorderly conduct, sentence of 30 days suspended for 12 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition he pay fine of $75 and costs.

Selina Sue Morgan, 39, Sherrills Ford, possess drug paraphernalia, placed on unsupervised probation for 12 months, ordered to pay fine of $100 and costs and obtain substance abuse assessment.

Kegan Allen Uptain, 33, Varsity Drive, Sylva, possess drug paraphernalia, prayer for judgment continued from term to term.

Casey Leanna Mark, 34, Sunset Farms Road, Whittier, possess drug paraphernalia, sentence of 45 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition she pay costs and obtain substance abuse assessment.

Jamison Lawrence Lassiter, 38, Molasses Mountain Road, Sylva, larceny, sentence of 120 days suspended for 12 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition he pay fine of $50 and costs and report for initial evaluation by TASC; breaking or entering, sentence of 120 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he make restitution and have no contact with victim.

Selena Leeann Burchfield, 18, Middlesboro, Ky., possess marijuana, placed on unsupervised probation for 12 months, ordered to pay fine of $50 and costs, obtain substance abuse assessment and have no contact with co-defendants.

Tanner William Beldon, 27, Bryson City, resisting public officer, sentence of 30 days suspended for 12 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition he pay fine of $50 and costs.

Zachary James Warman, 30, Hudson, and Collie Court, Glenville, possess stolen goods, sentence of 45 days suspended for 12 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition he pay costs, make restitution and have no contact with victims; also admitted to a probation violation, probation extended eight months, continuous alcohol monitoring  extended six months.

Cody Lee Reitman, 25, Pumpkintown Road, Sylva, two counts possess drug paraphernalia, placed on unsupervised probation for 12 months, ordered to pay fine of $50 and costs and obtain substance abuse assessment.

Brandon M. Barker, 18, Cheek Circle Road, Whittier, possess marijuana paraphernalia, placed on unsupervised probation for 12 months, ordered to pay fine of $50 and costs and obtain substance abuse assessment.

Kyle Warren Broom, 27, Cullowhee, child abuse, sentence of 45 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $50 and costs and obtain substance abuse assessment.

Heather N. Printz, 33, Waynesville, two counts larceny, sentence of 120 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition she pay costs, make restitution and not be on premises of Walmart.

Michael A. Morin, 37, Hendersonville, larceny by trick, sentence of 45 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $50 and costs and make restitution.

James Clifford Hobb, 55, Bryson City, unauthorized use of motor vehicle and financial card fraud, sentence of 120 days suspended for 12 months and placed on special supervised probation on condition he serve 22 days active time, pay costs and have no contact with and not be on premises of victim or victim’s family, given credit for 22 days served; larceny, sentence of 120 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation.

Stephanie Young Conner, 42, Mayflower Lane, Sylva, admitted to a probation violation, sentence of two days; admitted to another count of probation violation, sentence of 90 hours.

Brandi Nicole Moore, 27, Fisher Creek Road, Sylva, possess drug paraphernalia, second-degree trespass and simple assault, sentence of 120 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition she pay fine of $50 and costs and not be on premises of Walmart, given credit for seven days served.

Anthony Lamar Rice, 34, Heady Mountain Road, Cashiers, larceny and possess drug paraphernalia, sentence of 45 days, given credit for 45 days served and ordered to have no contact with victim.

Shane Christopher Holder, 30, Washington Creek Road, Cherokee, first-degree trespass, sentence of 11 days, given credit for 11 days served, ordered to not be on premises of Cherokee Indian Boundary.

Mathew Douglas Owen, 37, Eagle Ridge Drive, Sapphire, communicating threats, sentence of 45 days suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay fine of $50 and costs and have no contact with victim.

Charles Higdon, 41, Nebo, larceny, sentence of 38 days, given credit for 38 days served, ordered to have no contact with victim.

Mark Anthony Buchanan, 22, Rocky Branch Road, Whittier, possess drug paraphernalia, sentence of 45 days suspended for 12 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition he pay fine of $50 and costs.

Jacqueline Steely, 24, Sam Dills Road, Whittier, disorderly conduct, sentence of 30 days suspended for 12 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition she pay fine of $50 and costs.
