Two sessions of Jackson County District Court were held recently at the Justice Center.

Judge Rick Walker presided at a session mainly for traffic cases July 8, and Judge Donna Forga presided at a session for other cases July 9.

Results of the sessions are listed below, with information obtained from records on file with the Jackson County Clerk of Court office. Defendants pleaded guilty unless indicated otherwise. In addition to dismissals and infractions, dispositions included:

July 8

Justin Allan Saunders, 24, Jacksonville, driving while impaired – level five, sentence of not less than nor more than 60 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $100 and costs, obtain substance abuse assessment, surrender driver’s license and perform 24 hours community service.

Jeanne Lyle Cumbie, 70, Cedar Creek Road, Glenville, driving while impaired – level one, sentence of not less than nor more than 18 months suspended for 48 months and placed on supervised probation on condition she pay fine of $500 and costs, obtain substance abuse assessment and surrender driver’s license, given credit for 30 days of inpatient treatment in lieu of active time.

Pascual Cautlayo Touchihuitl, 45, Glenville School Road, Glenville, driving while impaired – level five, sentence of not less than nor more than 60 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $100 and costs, obtain substance abuse assessment, surrender driver’s license and perform 24 hours community service.

Mario Aguilar Diaz, 43, Tradewinds Lane, Sylva, driving while impaired – level two, sentence of not less than nor more than 12 months suspended for 36 months and placed on special supervised probation on condition he serve seven days active time, pay fine of $300 and costs, obtain substance abuse assessment and surrender driver’s license.

Katrina Marie Webster, 28, Macktown Road, Sylva, driving while impaired – level five, sentence of not less than nor more than 60 days suspended for 12 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition she pay fine of $100 and costs, obtain substance abuse assessment, surrender driver’s license and perform 24 hours community service.

William Richard Hornbuckle, 36, Lambert Branch Road, Cherokee, driving while impaired – level four, sentence of not less than nor more than 120 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $200 and costs, obtain substance abuse assessment, surrender driver’s license and perform 48 hours community service.

David Joseph Walsh, 31, Webster Road, Sylva, driving while impaired – level five, sentence of not less than nor more than 60 days suspended for 12 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition he pay fine of $100 and costs, obtain substance abuse assessment, surrender driver’s license and perform 24 hours community service.

Javier I.R. Hernandez, 53, Wolfetown Road, Cherokee, driving while impaired – level five, sentence of not less than nor more than 60 days suspended for 12 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition he pay fine of $100 and costs, obtain substance abuse assessment, surrender driver’s license and perform 24 hours community service.

Nermin Drinic, 23, Lawrenceville, Ga., speeding 90 mph in a 55 mph zone, fined $105 and costs.

July 9

Averi Celeste Norris, 20, Pabill Drive, Cullowhee, possess stolen goods, prayer for judgment continued on condition she pay costs.

Jennifer Renee Morgan, 18, Bryson City, possess drug paraphernalia and solicit to commit a felony to wit: possess methamphetamine, placed on supervised probation for 12 months, ordered to pay fine of $50 and costs, perform 24 hours community service and complete drug education school.

Brandon Lee Ward, 38, Bryson City, resisting public officer, sentence of 30 days suspended for 12 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition he pay fine of $50 and costs, given credit for four days served.

Korrina Owle Perez, 18, A Model Drive, Whittier, possess marijuana, placed on unsupervised probation for 12 months, ordered to pay fine of $50 and costs, perform 24 hours community service and complete drug education school.

Zachary Martin Bombay, 25, Touchstone Way, Sylva, larceny, sentence of 120 days suspended for 24 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $50 and costs, make restitution of $180 and report for initial evaluation by TASC; another count of larceny, sentence of 120 days suspended for 24 months and placed on supervised probation, ordered to make restitution of $1,300.

Eric James Hawks, 29, Concord, possess marijuana and maintain vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, sentence of 120 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $100 and costs; unauthorized use of motor vehicle, sentence of 37 days, given credit for 37 days served.

Daryl Lynn Bryson,52, Glenville, appeared on two counts of violation of court order, continued to Oct. 8 to give time for money owed to be paid.

Jamesen McKenna White, 24, Cottage Hill Road, Cullowhee, possess marijuana, placed on unsupervised probation for 12 months, ordered to pay fine of $50 and costs, perform 24 hours community service and complete drug education school.

Carolyn Elizabeth Keck Loftis, 29, Camp Creek Road, Whittier, possess stolen goods, possess marijuana and two counts larceny, sentence of 45 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition she pay fine of $200 and costs and report for initial evaluation by TASC.

Mallory Yvonne Littlejohn, 32, Clayton Street, Sylva, possess stolen goods, sentence of 20 days; also admitted to a probation violation, probation revoked and sentence of 90 days activated, given credit for 20 days served, sentences to run consecutively.

Steven Jason Collins, 44, Poker Branch Road, Sylva, child abuse, prayer for judgment continued on condition he pay costs.

Sherri K. Willis, 56, Arnold Hill, Sylva, possess Schedule III controlled substance and possess marijuana, placed on unsupervised probation for 12 months, ordered to pay fine of $50 and costs, perform 24 hours community service and complete drug education school.

Tina Marie Stockman, 29, Waynesville, admitted to a probation violation, probation revoked and sentence of 45 days activated, to run concurrently with any other active sentence being served.

Kayla Shayanna Hodock, 29, Rosie Bigwitch Road, Cherokee, admitted to a probation violation, given credit for 37 days served, probation terminated.

Richard Burgess Kinsey, 31, Pine Creek Road, Cullowhee, breaking and/or entering, larceny, possess stolen goods and resisting public officer, continued to Oct. 22 for sentencing.

July 12

One defendant had her misdemeanor case heard July 12 during a session mainly for minor traffic offenses presided over by Judge Walker:

Nichole Dominique Bradley, 26, Sim Taylor Road, Cherokee, driving while license revoked, sentence of 20 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition she pay costs, given credit for three days served; second-degree trespass, sentence of 20 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition she pay costs and not be on premises of Walmart.
