Judge Letts
Dillon Wayne McKay Watkins, 31, Johns Creek Road, Cullowhee, possess Schedule II controlled substance, sentence of not less than eight nor more than 19 months, given credit for 11 days served, ordered to pay costs; also admitted to four counts of probation violation, on each count probation revoked and two sentences of not less than nine nor more than 20 months and one sentence each of not less than 17 nor more than 30 months and not less than eight nor more than 19 months activated, given credit for 46 days served, probation sentences to run consecutively and to run concurrently with other sentence; substance abuse assessment, psychiatric and/or psychological counseling, work release and DART program recommended.
Gary Russell, 49, Yellow Mountain Road, Cullowhee, admitted to a probation violation, sentence of 45 days, given credit for 26 days served.
Michael David Touger, 38, Cheerful Cove Road, Cullowhee, possess methamphetamine, sentence of not less than seven nor more than 18 months, given credit for 16 days served; also admitted to a probation violation, probation revoked and sentence of not less than six nor more than 17 months activated, given credit for 13 days served, substance abuse assessment, psychiatric and/or psychological counseling, work release and DART program recommended.
Wayne Lee Kitchens, 48, Bonaire, Ga., trafficking heroin by transportation, sentence of not less than 90 nor more than 120 months, given credit for 692 days served, ordered to pay fine of $100,000 and costs; trafficking methamphetamine by transportation, sentence of not less than 90 nor more than 120 months, given credit for 692 days served, ordered to pay fine of $100,000 and costs, substance abuse assessment, psychiatric and/or psychological counseling, work release and DART program recommended, sentences to run concurrently.
In the only jury trial of either session, Laurence Gerard Hinton, 57, East Main Street, Sylva, was found not guilty of domestic violence protective order violation.
Kaitlyn Ann Reyor, 27, Allman Road, Sylva, admitted to a probation violation, sentence of 32 days.
Billy Joe Brady, 55, Sam Brady Road, Cherokee, assault inflicting physical injury on law enforcement/probation/parole officer, sentence of not less than six nor more than 17 months, substance abuse assessment, psychiatric and/or psychological counseling, work release and DART program recommended; assault on government official/employee, sentence of 150 days suspended for 24 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay costs; possess Schedule II controlled substance, sentence of not less than six nor more than 17 months suspended for 24 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $100 and costs and not be on premises of Catamount Travel Center.
Frank Joseph McCoy, 29, Stardust Motel, Sylva, admitted to a probation violation, probation revoked and sentence of not less than six nor more than 17 months activated, given credit for 11 days served, substance abuse assessment, psychiatric and/or psychological counseling, work release and DART program recommended.

Bobby Dean Williamson, 62, Fisher Creek Road, Sylva, possess stolen goods, sentence of 120 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $50 and costs; obtain property by false pretense, prayer for judgment continued from term to term.

Jason Randall Westover, 44, Inwood Drive, Sylva, admitted to three counts of probation violation, sentence of 90 days.
Buford William Smith, 50, Beck Branch Road, Whittier, admitted to two counts of probation violation, on each count probation revoked and sentences of 90 days activated, sentences to run concurrently.
Mark Stephen Bennett, 52, Pincushion Lane, Sylva, domestic violence protective order violation, sentence of 150 days suspended for 12 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition he pay costs, given credit for two days served.
Charles Alden Brooks, 20, Long Branch Church Road, Sylva, admitted to a probation violation, probation revoked and sentence of 60 days activated, given credit for 60 days served.
