Two administrative terms of Jackson County Superior Court were held March 13 and 15 at the Justice Center with Judge Brad Letts presiding.

Results of the terms are listed below, with information obtained from records on file with the Jackson County Clerk of Court office. Defendants pleaded guilty unless indicated otherwise. In addition to dismissals, dispositions included:

Travis D. Gregg, 37, Greeneville, Tenn., driving while impaired – level three, sentence of six months suspended for 24 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition he pay fine of $600 and costs, obtain substance abuse assessment, surrender driver’s license and perform 72 hours community service.

Tonya Renee Hill, 51, Athens, Tenn., admitted to a probation violation, probation terminated.

Jason Dean Dyer, 29, Fields Road, Whittier, admitted to a probation violation, original judgment modified, sentence of 10 days, assigned to electronic house arrest for 90 days, probation extended 12 months.

Timothy Scott Lawrence Sr., 50, Valor Mountain Road, Cullowhee, financial card theft, sentence of not less than six nor more than 17 months, given credit for 240 days served; possess methamphetamine, sentence of not less than six nor more than 17 months, given credit for 239 days served; possess Schedule II substance, sentence of not less than six nor more than 17 months suspended for 24 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $25 and costs.

Terry Jay Webb, 39, Knob Hill Estate Road, Sylva, solicit to possess cocaine and possess drug paraphernalia, placed on unsupervised probation for 12 months, ordered to pay fine of $25 and costs and obtain substance abuse assessment.

Guadalupe Salgado Rivera, 38, Franklin, larceny, sentence of 42 days suspended for 18 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition she pay fine of $50 and costs, not be on premises of Harrah’s Cherokee Casino and have no contact with victim, given credit for five days served; conspire to commit felony larceny, prayer for judgment continued from term to term until August 2020.

Timothy Mark Hooks Jr., 40, Waynesville, possession of firearm by felon, sentence of not less than 15 nor more than 17 months, substance abuse assessment, psychiatric and/or psychological counseling, work release and DART program recommended, given credit for 165 days served.

Krista Crouse Oxendine, 47, Rocky Branch Road, Whittier, three counts possession with intent to sell/deliver controlled substance, sentence of not less than six nor more than 17 months suspended for 18 months and placed on supervised probation on condition she pay fine of $50 and costs and obtain GED, given credit for four days served.

Christopher Shaun Gaskins, 34, Marietta, S.C., three counts obtain property by false pretense, sentence of not less than six nor more than 17 months suspended for 24 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $50 and costs; possess five-plus counterfeit instruments, sentence of not less than 13 nor more than 25 months suspended for 24 months and placed on special supervised probation on condition he serve 67 days active time, pay fine of $50 and costs, make restitution, obtain GED, not be on premises of Middleton’s Pawn or Plaza Pawn and assigned to electronic house arrest for 90 days, given credit for 67 days served.

Charity Leighanne Smith, 41, Hooper Chastain Cove Road, Tuckasegee, possess methamphetamine, placed on unsupervised probation for 12 months, fined $50 and costs.

Jordan Alexander Willis, 20, High Point, larceny, sentence of 45 days suspended for 18 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $50 and costs, make restitution, perform 24 hours community service and obtain substance abuse assessment; obtain property by false pretense, sentencing continued, review set for Oct. 9.

Daniel Dwain Wallace, 28, Snap Dragon Lane, Sylva, admitted to a probation violation, original judgment modified, sentence of 45 days, given credit for 23 days served, obtain substance abuse assessment, assigned to electronic house arrest for six months.

Amy Potts McDowell, 36, Highlands, admitted to a probation violation, probation extended 12 months.
