Two sessions of Jackson County District Court were held last week at the Justice Center.

Judge Kris Earwood presided at a session mainly for traffic cases April 19, and Judge Kaleb Wingate presided at a session for other cases April 20.

Results of the sessions are listed below, with information obtained from records on file with the Jackson County Clerk of Court office. Defendants pleaded guilty unless indicated otherwise. In addition to dismissals and infractions, dispositions included:

 

April 19

Jacqueline Steely, 24, Sam Dills Road, Whittier, driving while impaired – level one, sentence of not less than nor more than 24 months suspended for 36 months and placed on special supervised probation on condition she serve 30 days active time, pay fine of $500 and costs, obtain substance abuse assessment and surrender driver’s license.

Trestan L. Moses, 28, Charlotte, second-degree trespass, sentence of one day, given credit for one day served, ordered to not be on premises of Harrah’s Cherokee Casino.

Jordan Michael Parris, 33, Jasper, Ga., disorderly conduct, prayer for judgment continued from term to term on condition he pay costs.

 

April 20

Tandy Moore Dyer, 38, Barkers Creek Road, Whittier, admitted to a probation violation, probation revoked and sentence of 60 days activated.

Jessica Nicole Cochran, 37, Bryson City, disorderly conduct, sentence of 45 days suspended for 12 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition she pay fine of $50 and costs, make restitution and have no contact with victim.

Morgan Bailey Clark, 26, Cope Creek Road, Sylva, possess marijuana, fined $150 and costs.

Gerold Dan Harris III, 19, Brevard, possess marijuana, placed on unsupervised probation for 12 months and ordered to pay fine of $100 and costs.

Tirell Otavius Timothy, 39, Fort Pierce, Fla., second-degree trespass, sentence of 20 days suspended for 12 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition he pay fine of $100 and costs and not be on premises of any Harrah’s property.

Kyle Lee Lackey, 38, U.S. 74 East, Sylva, larceny and possess drug paraphernalia, sentence of 120 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $50 and costs, have no contact with victim and not be on premises of Sylva Shell station.

Edward Gabriel Spitzer. 43, Atlanta, Ga., possess stolen goods, prayer for judgment continued on condition he pay costs.

Otono Milan Rodriguez, 29, Hallmark Lane, Whittier, resisting public officer, sentence of three days, given credit for three days served, ordered to pay costs.

Michael Scott Harrell, 25, Lillington, assault with deadly weapon, sentence of 60 days suspended for 18 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $200 and costs, obtain mental health assessment, have no contact with victims and not be on premises of Western Carolina University.

Taylor Nathaniel Woodring, 20, Gardenia Lane, Sylva, resisting public officer, sentence of 45 days suspended for 12 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition he pay fine of $100 and costs and obtain mental health assessment.

Beverly Doris Donathan, 31, Oklahoma City, Okla., possess drug paraphernalia, placed on unsupervised probation for 12 months, ordered to pay fine of $100 and costs and complete drug education program.

Rashonda Bradley, 33, Dills Branch Road, Sylva, unauthorized use of motor vehicle, sentence of 14 days, given credit for 14 days served.

Alexandria Leigh Mozinski, 28, Asheville, drunk and disruptive, fined $100 and costs.

Hollis Evan Ayling, 24, Briarwood Road, Webster, simple assault, sentence of 45 days suspended for 12 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition he pay fine of $100 and costs and complete mental health assessment.

Amanda Rae Santiago, 38, A-Model Drive, Whittier, possess drug paraphernalia, sentence of 28 days, given credit for 28 days served, ordered to pay costs.

David Samuel Brady, 44, Ivalee Road, Cherokee, possess stolen goods, sentence of 120 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $50 and costs, make restitution , not be on premises of Plaza Pawn and have no contact with victim.

Margie Lynn Taylor Toineeta, 51, Piney Grove Road, Cherokee, possess drug paraphernalia, placed on supervised probation for 12 months, ordered to pay fine of $100 and costs and complete drug education program.

Gregory Ryan Lockhart, 28, Moose Lodge Road, Sylva, two counts larceny, sentence of 120 days suspended for 18 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $50 and costs, make restitution, have no contact with victims, obtain mental health assessment and not be on premises of WCU; two additional counts of larceny, sentence of 120 days suspended for 18 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $50 and costs and make restitution.

Dakota Watty, 29, Castle Rock Circle, Whittier, possess drug paraphernalia, sentence of three days, given credit for three days served.

Saith St. Christopher Cucumber, 25, Bali Drive, Cherokee, assault on government official/employee, sentence of 45 days, given credit for 35 days served.

Charlene Anita McCoy, 50, Button Lane Medallion, Cullowhee, admitted to a probation violation, probation terminated unsuccessfully.

Brent Adam Brooks, 32, Rhodes Cove Road, Sylva, admitted to a probation violation, sentence of 30 days, given credit for six days served.

Tabitha Sherell Henry, 31, Cope Creek Road, Sylva, admitted to a probation violation, probation revoked and sentence of 45 days activated, given credit for nine days served.

Clifford Wayne Gregg, 43, Johns Creek Road, Cullowhee, received deferred prosecution on a charge of harassing phone call, placed on supervised probation for six months, ordered to continue mental health treatment and have no contact with victim.

 

April 16

One misdemeanor case was heard during a court term April 16 mainly for minor traffic offenses presided over by Judge Donna Forga:

Larry Eugene McCall, 28, Robbinsville and Canton, possess marijuana, sentence of 10 days, given credit for 10 days served.
