An administrative term of Jackson County Superior Court convened Oct. 9 at the Justice Center with Judge Brad Letts presiding.

Results of the term are listed below, with information obtained from records on file with the Jackson County Clerk of Court office. Defendants pleaded guilty unless indicated otherwise. In addition to dismissals, dispositions included:

Serena Elizabeth George, 21, Bryson City, possess methamphetamine, placed on supervised probation for 24 months, fined $25 and costs, ordered to obtain GED and substance abuse assessment; another count of possess methamphetamine, placed on supervised probation for 24 months, fined $25 and costs; maintain vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, sentence of 45 days suspended for 24 months and placed on supervised probation on condition she pay fine of $25 and costs.

Travis Scott Holden, 23, Alvin Deitz Road, Sylva, possess marijuana, placed on unsupervised probation for 12 months, fined $25 and costs and ordered to make restitution; maintain vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, sentence of 45 days suspended for 12 months and placed on unsupervised probation on condition he pay fine of $25 and costs.

Isaac William Bird, 23, Teleeski Road, Cherokee, possess Schedule II controlled substance, sentence of 45 days suspended for 12 months and placed on special supervised probation on condition he serve six days active time, pay fine of $25 and costs and obtain substance abuse assessment, given credit for six days served; possess drug paraphernalia, sentence of 45 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $25; possess heroin, sentencing continued to Aug. 5.

David Gerald Mathis, 34, Waynesville, possess methamphetamine, sentence of not less than five nor more than 15 months suspended for 12 months and placed on special supervised probation on condition he serve 16 days active time and pay fine of $250 and costs, given credit for 16 days served.

Elisa Collette Lindsey, 47, Big Cove Road, Cherokee, obtain property by false pretense and failure to appear on felony, sentence of not less than 11 nor more than 23 months suspended for 24 months and placed on special supervised probation on condition she serve 120 days active time, pay costs, make restitution of $8,000 and obtain substance abuse assessment, ordered to have no contact with co-defendants or victims, given credit for 110 days served.

Bryan Chicoah Hoyle, 20, Pamlico Drive, Cherokee, common law uttering, sentence of 45 days suspended for 18 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $25 and costs and make restitution; possess methamphetamine, placed on supervised probation for 18 months, fined $25 and costs, ordered to obtain GED and substance abuse assessment.

Alfred Joseph Lafon, 38, Shadrack Lane, Sylva, admitted to a probation violation, probation revoked and sentence of not less than six nor more than 17 months activated, given credit for 15 days served, substance abuse assessment, psychiatric and/or psychological counseling, work release and DART program recommended.

Dylan Samuel Hoyle, 24, Begonia Lane, Sylva, possess methamphetamine, sentence of not less than six nor more than 17 months suspended for 18 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he serve 40 days active time, pay fine of $25 and costs, and obtain GED and substance abuse assessment, given credit for 40 days served; admitted to probation violation, sentence of 90 days, probation extended 12 months.

Hannah Mikayla Hilton, 20, Rosemont Road, Sylva, two counts possess methamphetamine, placed on supervised probation for 12 months, fined $25 and costs and ordered to obtain GED and substance abuse assessment; maintain vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, sentence of 45 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition she pay fine of $25 and costs, given credit for six days served.
