A term of Jackson County Superior Court convened Oct. 28 at the Justice Center with Judge Brad Letts presiding.

Results of the term are listed below, with information obtained from records on file with the Jackson County Clerk of Court office. Defendants pleaded guilty unless indicated otherwise. In addition to dismissals, dispositions included:

Keith Alan Ingraham, 65, Azalea Motel, Sylva, was found guilty by a jury of trafficking oxycodone by sale, sell Schedule II controlled substance and trafficking oxycodone by possession, sentence of not less than 70 nor more than 93 months, given credit for 149 days served, ordered to pay fine of $50,000 and costs, substance abuse treatment, psychiatric and/or psychological counseling, work release and DART program recommended; also found guilty of conspire to traffic opium/heroin and maintain vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance, sentence of not less than 70 nor more than 93 months, fined $50,000 and costs.

Calvin Lavone Woodard, 70, Bryson City, solicitation of minor by computer, sentence of not less than 13 nor more than 25 months suspended for 36 months and placed on special supervised probation on condition he serve 42 days active time, pay costs, have no contact with victim, not be alone with anyone under age 18, obtain psychological assessment, participate in sexual abuse treatment program and not be on premises of places primarily for the use of minors or where minors frequently congregate, given credit for 42 days served.

Justin Reeves Lambert, 37, Mount Noble Road, Cherokee, felony possession of Schedule II controlled substance, sentence of not less than five nor more than 15 months suspended for 24 months and placed on special supervised probation on condition he serve 79 days active time, pay fine of $25 and costs, obtain substance abuse assessment and participate in MRT program, given credit for 79 days served.

Heather Medford Haynes, 28, Waynesville, conspire to obtain property by false pretense, sentence of not less than six nor more than 17 months suspended for 24 months and placed on supervised probation on condition she pay fine of $50 and costs, make restitution, have no contact with victim or co-defendants, obtain substance abuse assessment and participate in MRT program.

Chad Derrick Cole, 38, Waynesville, obtain property by false pretense, sentence of not less than 10 nor more than 21 months suspended for 36 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay costs, make restitution of $8,000, assigned to TASC, 90-day DART and MRT programs, have no contact with victims or co-defendants.

Mary Ashley Cole, 30, North Ridge Road, Glenville, possess firearm by felon, possess methamphetamine, possess drug paraphernalia, breaking and/or entering and larceny after break/enter, sentence of not less than 13 nor more than 25 months to run concurrently with any other active sentence being served, ordered to pat costs and have no contact with victims, substance abuse treatment, psychiatric and/or psychological counseling, work release and DART program recommended; also admitted to three counts of probation violation, on each count original judgment remains in full force and effect.

Emery Lee Littlejohn, 34, Tsali Xing, Cherokee, admitted to a probation violation, original judgment modified, sentence of 15 days, given credit for 15 days served, assigned to Analenisgi program.

Jeremy Scott Robinson, 44, Poplar Drive, Sylva, possess marijuana and possess drug paraphernalia, sentence of 45 days suspended for 12 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $25 and costs and obtain substance abuse assessment.

Saysh Ray Hobbs, 32, Mockingbird Lane, Sylva, attempted traffic in opium by possession, sentence of not less than 17 nor more than 30 months, ordered to pay costs, substance abuse treatment, psychiatric and/or psychological counseling, work release and DART program recommended; possess with intent to sell opium, sentence of not less than seven nor more than 18 months suspended for 24 months and placed on supervised probation on condition he pay fine of $25 and costs and make restitution of $2,100.

Dorothy Ray Franco, 50, Fenway Place, Tuckasegee, admitted to a probation violation, probation extended 36 months.
