Mountain Athletic Conference basketball action
will begin Tuesday, Dec. 2, when Smoky Mountain travels to Asheville.
For the Lady Mustangs, it will be a matter of jumping directly
into the fire. The Lady Cougars return four starters from last
year's state 3-A championship team that was undefeated against
public school opponents.
Among the returnees is junior Rashanda McCants, who recently
committed to play at North Carolina. Her brother, Rashad McCants,
is a star sophomore for the Tar Heels.
Games were scheduled Tuesday, Nov. 25, at Rabun County, Ga.
Results were not known at Herald press time.
