Smoky Mountain's wrestlers defeated Hayesville 64-12 Dec. 20 at the SM gym.

"We wrestled well," said Coach Ian Roper, who saw his team improve to 14-2. "We went out there and got after it."

119 - Cory McElprang (S) pinned Smith.

140 - Rory Welch (S) pinned Farmer.

"To be a first-year program, Hayesville looked really good," Roper said. "They've got a strong collection of freshmen and sophomores. They're going to be something to contend with in a few years."
