Smoky Mountain relied on forfeits to pick up a couple of wrestling victories Feb. 6 at the SM gym.
The Mustangs finished the regular season 17-7 after defeating North Buncombe 52-25 and Owen 40-32.
"It was an interesting night of wrestling," Coach Ian Roper said. "I've got a lot of holes right now."
Kevin Price is out for the season with an injury, and Chris McFalls is sidelined for a week.
"Some of our younger guys got some matches, but they forfeited to us in most of our strong areas," the coach said.
