Asheville, N. Buncombe will play Mustangs here

Smoky Mountain will host a pair of Mountain Athletic Conference basketball opponents in the coming week.

Asheville will visit Friday. The Cougars and Lady Cougars are 6-2 in the MAC.

North Buncombe will be here Tuesday. The Black Hawk men are 5-3 in the league, and the women are 4-4.

Blue Ridge will be home to play Cherokee on Friday and Asheville Christian Academy on Saturday. The ACA games have a special starting time as the women will play at 3 p.m. followed by the men.

In Tuesday's action, the Mustang men (3-12, 0-7) lost to Enka 80-62. Jared Day had 15 points.

The Lady Mustangs (2-13, 0-7) dropped a 44-34 decision despite 15 points from Christy Pruett.

The Blue Ridge women improved to 4-5 overall and 2-0 in the Little Smoky Mountain Conference with a 41-35 win over Highlands. Shauna Moody scored 16 points, and Ashley Fowler had 10.

The Bobcat men (0-9 and 0-2) lost 61-21. Karl Stewart had 11 points.
