Swim team falls to Henderson at first home meet of season
The Jackson County Swim Team hosted its first swim meet of the season at the newly renovated Sylva Pool July 12. The Henderson County Aquatic Team came to town with 65 swimmers, topping JCST with a team score of 477 to 128.

"Because the pool deck has been re-designed from the renovations, setting up for this meet created some challenges on where to place and store equipment," said Sue Heckert, team president. "The new starting blocks and underwater pool lights were used for the first time, creating excitement for our swimmers. Sylva can be very proud of its pool."
