Jackson County Emergency Management Director Mike Ensley shows Commissioner Roberta Crawford the new travel trailer recently donated to the county by the N.C. Department of Emergency Management. This 30-foot, fully-equipped 2000 Innsbruck trailer will be available during disaster situations to serve as temporary housing for displaced families or as a command post for emergency management staff in or out of the county, Ensley said. The EMS director, with assistance from Terry Ashe of the Cullowhee Volunteer Fire Department, retrieved the trailer, which had been used by FEMA to house victims of Hurricane Floyd flood waters, from Raleigh last week.
