Three Glenville residents were taken into custody last week after federal and local officers searched their homes.
Agents with the federal Drug Enforcement Agency and the Jackson County Sheriff's Department searched a residence at 122 Knolls Way, Glenville, Jan. 11, and found "the most sophisticated grow operation I've ever seen," said Sheriff Jim Cruzan. "This was down to a science." Facing federal drug charges are Robert David Unger, age 58, Susan Jean Unger, 52, and Gary Bruce Pollack, 51. The suspects have been under investigation for some time prior to last week's arrests, Cruzan said. "This was a big operation," said Cruzan, who described what was found in Glenville has as hydroponically-produced marijuana, meaning the plants were being grown in nutrient-rich water solutions. More than $100,000 worth of laboratory equipment was also seized during the search, he said. The investigation is continuing, the sheriff said. |
