Construction is under way on a $688,000 project that will completely refurbish Sylva's 30-year-old Roscoe Poteet pool. Southern Pools of Huntersville began work last month and are expected to complete renovations by mid-May. The pool shell will be completely redone, said Sylva town administrator Tommy Thompson, and one lane will be added to improve the facility's usefulness for competitive swim meets. |
