Bonnie Rowe of Waynesville (top photo) and Judy Quealy-Greenwald (bottom photo) each received an honorable mention in The Sylva Herald's fifth annual "Mountain Spring" photo contest. Winners were Nick Breedlove of Sylva, first; Pamela Dengler, also of Sylva, second; and Theresa Gonzalez of Cullowhee, third. Others receiving honorable mention were Rhonda Blanton of Franklin of Balsam and Jeannie Threadgill of Whittier. This year's contest was judged by Cliff Blakely of Cullowhee, and winners were announced during Sylva's April 27 Greening Up the Mountains downtown festival.
