"Spring Temptation" by D.J. Threadgill of Whittier took fourth place in The Sylva Herald's recent Mountain Spring photo contest. Other winners included Anne Jones of Webster, first; Velvet Messer of Sylva, second; Richard Heitzenrater of Sylva, third; and Herb Zachmann of Sylva, fifth. Entries were displayed and winners announced during the April 28 Greening Up the Mountains downtown festival. Perry Kelly, president of the Jackson County Arts Council, was this year's judge. |
