By Rose Hooper

kids Webster Historical Society will present its 20th annual "Christmas Eve in Webster" program on Tuesday, Dec. 24, at 5:30 p.m. at the historic Webster United Methodist Church. The annual candlelight event is dedicated to the memory of longtime Webster Postmaster Mildred Cowan, who was also the first president of the historical society and the pianist at Webster Baptist Church. The service will feature classical and holiday music performed by Robert Young on the 1881 Estey organ; Julie Van Leuven, flute; and Katrina Evans and Josie Nunley, guitar. Howard Allman, center, will read the Christmas lesson, assisted by Tessa Rodes, left, and Zack Dean. Hot cider will be served on the church lawn following the service.
