Smoky Mountain High choral students under the direction
of Linda Haggard were hoping for first prize Wednesday in the
school's door decorating contest, a part of homecoming activities.
Haggard's students spent nearly four days putting together this
football scene, complete with cheerleaders and striped Astro-turf.
Some of those who helped on the project were, from left, Cara
Reece, Cassie Smith, Erica Sharrett, Dustin Huff, Chris Queen,
Chris Collins and Alex Farmer. Jenna DeGrove (not pictured)
designed the 'Stang cheerleaders, all of whom will be on the
sidelines this Friday night when the Mustangs take on Tuscola's
