Recent dry weather conditions have contributed to an accelerated schedule at the new Scotts Creek School construction site on Parris Branch Road. Finishing the brickwork are, from left, Phillip Sequoyah, Robert Squirrel and Marion Cucumber of R.C. Masonary in Cherokee.

With the building dried in, workers have turned their attention to interior finish work, said construction coordinator Clarence Hubbell, who gave early April as the target completition date. The $10.5 million school will replace the current Scotts Creek School on Skyland Drive.
