Cherokee hoop dancer Eddie Swimmer demonstrated his skills Saturday (June 8) during Dillsborošs 18th annual Heritage Festival. In addition to dancing, Swimmer told the audience about how important heritage is to each person. An estimated crowd of 2,500 was on hand for the all-day festival, which "everybody felt like was the best turnout in years," said Leslie Rojohn, one of several Dillsboro merchants who coordinated this yearšs event.
