Young "voters" in Joyce Dyer's and Novella Greer's second-grade classes at Fairview cast their ballots for president of the United States Tuesday. Manning the registration books were (seated) Cody Nations, left, and Stefanie Newell, while teacher assistant Kim Buchanan kept the voting lines moving. Waiting with ballot in hand is Germain Ornelas; Chris Green is next in line. The first- and second-graders in Fairview's A building mostly voted for Texas Governor George W. Bush, who won that particular election with 61 votes to Vice President Al Gore's 47.
