Board members take oath

Luminare Four members elected in September were sworn in prior to the start of Monday's (Dec. 16) meeting of the Jackson County Board of Education. Promising to do their best on behalf of local children were, from left, Nathan Moss, Ali Laird-Large, James Roper and Ken Henke. Jackson County Assistant Clerk of Court Ann Melton, right, administered the oath of office. Roper was re-elected chairman, and Laird-Large was re-elected vice chairman of the five-member board.
