Smoky Mountain's Mustangs trampled Swain's Maroon Devils Friday night before a standing-room-only crowd at Carr Hooper Stadium. SMHS easily won its home opener 30-7 behind an outstanding effort from its defense. Senior running back Josh Torrans (39) caried 14 times for 69 yards to lead Smoky Mountain's ground game.
