Clear skies and warm temperatures found a number of local farmers making hay in this week's sunshine.
Seth Sloan, 6, (left) son of Joseph and Patricia Sloan, helped his grandparents, Edgar and Kathleen Ensley, on their Fisher Creek farm, where some 30 to 40 round bales of hay are harvested each cutting. Hay-making also proceeded Monday and Tuesday in Webster on Old Settlement Road near the Baptist church, yielding a row of round bales (below) lined up to cure under the bright June sun. - Herald photos by Nick Breedlove
