Swearing in commissioners

Two re-elected county commissioners were sworn into office Monday night (Dec. 1) during a special organizational meeting. Judge Brad Letts, left, swore in Commissioner Mark Jones (top photo), while his nephews Isaac, left, and Jacob Jones hold their family Bible. Letts also swore in Commissioner Joe Cowan (lower photo) during the meeting. Afterwards, Commissioner Tom Massie was unanimously approved as the board’s vice chairman, a post formerly held by Cowan. – Herald photos by Justin Goble
