Russell to play WCU

091908markrussellc
Mark Russell, a comedian and musician whose career has centered on skewering U.S. politics and politicians, will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, in Western Carolina University’s Fine and Performing Arts Center. This performance by the “king of political satire,” just in time for the presidential election, is part of WCU’s Galaxy of Stars Series. Russell’s performances include topical stand-up comedy and parodies of news stories set to the tunes of standards, with Russell accompanying himself on piano. Individual ticket prices are $25 for adults; $20 for senior citizens (60 years and older); $20 for WCU faculty and staff; $5 for students; and $15 per person for groups of 15 or more. To purchase tickets, visit the FAPAC box office, call the box office at 227-2479 for Visa and MasterCard orders, or order online at www.ticketreturn.com.
