Rush to the pumps

092308enmarkgasc
Drivers line up along N.C. 107 Tuesday (Sept. 23) in hopes of filling their gas tanks at Enmark. Most Sylva gas stations have been “sitting on empty” recently, and stations in Tuckasegee, East LaPorte and Cullowhee also reported empty pumps. While most store personnel said they’re unsure when their stations will receive shipments, an employee at Moonshine Minimart in East LaPorte said that store was scheduled to receive a shipment Wednesday morning. Someone at Ken’s Grocery in Tuckasegee said it could be a couple of days before that station receives another supply of fuel. An Enmark employee said Tuesday they were the “only one in town with gas.”
