Mustang JVs lose at North
North Henderson’s JVs defeated Smoky Mountain 19-6 last Thursday at North.
“The JVs played a little better,” Coach Dale Galloway said. “We had the ball with a chance to tie or take the lead late.”
After stopping the Mustangs (0-2) on downs, the Knights added a score in the final minute.
The coach had high praise for Micah Carter, who returned from an injury to play quarterback.
SM’s touchdown came on a 65-yard pass from Carter to Jeremy Sequoyah in the second half, Galloway said.
“That was the highlight of the week,” the coach said.
