Galloway family honored
The Smoky Mountain High class of 2008 honored Coach Dale Galloway and his family prior to Friday’s home-opening football game. Class members elected to refurbish the Mustangs at the top of the steps leading to the field and install plaques on each – one honoring Coach Galloway and the other in memory of his son, Connor. Connor Galloway died last October, a victim of the choking game. The Galloway family has fought since then to make parents aware of the dangers the choking game poses to adolescents.
