Need Help with this Site?
This site is optimized for a broadband connection (i.e. cable modem, dsl, fiber, etc.) While we recognize that many of our customers use dial-up to access the Internet, the majority of users at this site use high-speed Internet. Due to the growth of high-speed Internet in this area and surrounding areas, we have enhanced this site with certain features which might require longer load times on traditional connections (i.e. 56k modem/dial-up). We apologize for any inconvenience. If this is the case, please be patient as pages load.
Please make sure that you’re viewing this page at a minimum of an 800x600 resolution. The preferred resolution is 1024x768. For instructions on changing your monitor resolution please refer to the user guide that was supplied with your computer.
We recommend using Netscape 7.0 or later available at www.netscape.com or Internet Explorer 6.0 or later, available from www.microsoft.com.
Some newly added site features, i.e. search, photo galleries, etc. will not be available while you are in archives, as those are older copies of the web site. To take advantage of the newest features, go to www.thesylvaherald.com and utilize them from there.
Please take a while to get used to the new site navagation and look for new features coming soon. We hope that this new site navagation will help you browse more efficiently and find information easier.
Printing Problems
If you have trouble getting all the content to fit on one page, you might be able to use your printer’s ‘shrink-to-fit’ or fit to one page option. Also you can set the page to print in landscape mode by going to File -- Page Setup in most browsers.
The web site is updated by Thursday Morning at 12, barring unforseen technical circumstances, or holiday schedules. If you are still pulling up last week’s version, you need to clear your ‘Cache’ you can do this in the ‘Preferences’ menu in Netscape and Internet Explorer. For detailed instructions, click here.
