Draw down planned for Saturday at high school

The draw down fund-raiser for the Smoky Mountain High School Athletic Booster Club is set for Saturday, May 3.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. in the school cafeteria, and the program will move to the gym between 6:45-7 p.m.

Tickets are still available at a cost of $100. Each ticket is good for two ribeye steak dinners and the opportunity to win prize money totaling $7,000.

The first place winner could win up to $5,000. Second prize is $1,000 with third prize $500. There will be five $100 winners.

The first ticket drawn will be put to the side and will be placed back in the basket when there are only nine tickets left.

After the first ticket is put to the side, every eighth ticket will win a door prize and every 50th ticket will win $100.

The drawing will continue until there are four tickets left. One more ticket will be auctioned off starting at $200 leaving five tickets in the basket.

Holders of those tickets will come to the front and be offered $1,000 each to stop the draw. If they don’t accept the offer, the drawing will continue until a $5,000 winner is determined.

For more information or to purchase tickets, call the school at 586-2177.
