ATTENTION SYLVA HERALD READERS AND ADVERTISERS: Due to the Thanksgiving holiday and advanced printing schedules, deadlines for advertising and news submissions for the Nov. 22 issue will all be moved up. All news submissions will be due by 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, if they are to be included in the Nov. 22 edition. All classified, legal and real estate advertising for the Nov. 22 newspaper will also be due by Thursday, Nov. 15, at 5 p.m. All display advertising must be received by noon on Friday, Nov. 16, for inclusion in the Thursday, Nov. 22, newspaper.

SMOKEY MOUNTAIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL will hold a Frybread Luncheon today (Thursday) from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Plates will be $6 each and include frybread and a drink. Meals can be picked up at SMES, and organizers will deliver five or more orders that go to the same location. Orders can be placed by calling Ronda Denton at 508-2998.

SYLVA STORYTELLER GARY CARDEN is planning another dinner theater at Rene’s Pizzeria on Saturday, Nov. 17. Dinner will be at 6 p.m., and curtain time for Carden’s one-actor play, “Birdell,” will be at 7:30 p.m. Actress Bobbie Curtis will portray Birdell.
