Film premiere in Cherokee
Bo Taylor, left, who plays Chula, prepares a special “smoke” for Lt. Henry Timberlake, played by Joshua Lowell, in the PBS special “Emissaries of Peace.” A world premiere of the movie is set for 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at Cherokee High School; the event is free and open to the public. The documentary was shot on location in Cherokee and Colonial Williamsburg and is a joint venture between the Museum of the Cherokee Indian and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. PBS will broadcast the movie nationally on Thursday, Nov. 8. |
