Local swimmers do well in all-star meet

Jackson County swimmers came away from the Mountain Swim League All-Star meet held Saturday at Murphy with six trophies, more than three dozen medals, and countless ribbons.

All-Star competition is limited to those who have met strict qualifying standards. The top three finishers in each event win medals, and the top three total points winners in each age division win trophies. The team was represented at the meet by 31 swimmers.

Winning their age divisions were Quinn Manning, 8-and-under boys, and Elayna Seago, 11-12 girls.
