Separate sealed bids for the addition of a Liquid Lime System at the Tribal Water Treatment Plant will be received by the Owner in the conference room of the Tribal Water treatment Plant until 2:00 P.M. local time on April 10, 2007 and then at said place be privately opened. Procurement under this Advertisement for Bids is subject to requirements of Chapter 92 of the Cherokee Code relating to preference in contracting with Indian Owned businesses.

The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor necessary to construct the Liquid Lime Feed System and related work as follows:

Demolition and removal of the existing lime silo, pumps, piping, concrete and appurtenances; installation of the new liquid lime feed system, concrete containment structure, piping, electrical and related work.

The old Qualla School in Jackson County is slated for demolition in preparation for the construction of a new main Fire Station for the Qualla Fire Department. Deriving from its designed purpose and nature of construction various building materials throughout the structure including wall panels, hardwood flooring, timber support structures, stone exterior, etc. may be desirable for salvaging.
