Then and now
This is a shot of the late Golman Kinsland and his brown swiss cow, Princess Caroline. Barbara Collins, Gene Gibson and Ray Kinsland, Golman Kinsland’s son, all called to help us out. According to Ray, the photo was taken by a county extension agent around 1951. Golman Kinsland had a small dairy and traveled to Ohio in 1949 to get the brown swiss cattle, including Caroline and her twin Carol. Some of the cattle’s descendants are still on the farm, Ray said.
