Mustangs to play two road WAC games
Smoky Mountain’s basketball teams will begin the second half of the Western Athletic Conference season Friday at Brevard.
The varsity women are to start at 6:30 p.m. followed by the men. JV games are to be played in the auxiliary gym starting at 4:30 p.m.
The Lady Mustangs are in sole possession of first place in the WAC at 5-0 and are 17-2 overall. Brevard’s women are 1-4 in the league and in a three-way tie for fourth.
The Mustang men are 3-2 in the league and tied with Pisgah for second. Brevard is fourth at 2-3. SM is 14-5 overall.
League play will continue Tuesday at East Henderson. Varsity games will again start at 6:30 p.m. with JV games at 4:30 p.m. in the auxiliary gym.
