Downtown parade draws crowd
Sylva Fire Department Assistant Chief Tim Green drives “Old Red,” loaded with Sparky the Fire Dog and friends, during Tuesday’s (Nov. 28) Sylva Christmas Parade. Sponsored by the Downtown Sylva Association, the annual event drew hundreds to Main Street. “It was a great way to bring in the season,” said DSA President Sheryl Rudd. “We appreciate everyone who was involved, especially the participants and the volunteers. Everyone was just wonderful.” The event featured floats, walking groups, vehicles, and performers.– Herald photo by Nick Breedlove |
