Cullowhee man arrrested on drug-related charges

A Cullowhee man was arrested in Tuckasegee Sept. 6 on several drug-related charges.
According to Capt. Steve Lillard, Sheriff’s Office personnel were assisting state parole officers with a search of a Shook Cove residence when they found Steven Louis Broom, 28, of Cullowhee in possession of methamphetamine and stolen property.
Broom was arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of stolen goods, Lillard said.
Officers seized 58 grams of meth during the incident, Lillard said.
Broom was released Sept. 8 after posting a $41,000 bond, Lillard said.
