WCU to host Vincent
Tickets sales start Friday, Sept. 1, for an upcoming concert by bluegrass chart-toppers, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage. Vincent, who blends both modern and classical elements into her music, will headline the annual pre-Mountain Heritage Day concert at 7:30 p.m. at Western Carolina University’s Ramsey Center on Friday, Sept. 29. Dubbed “The New Queen of Bluegrass,” Vincent’s hits include top CMT video, “You Can’t Take It With You When You Go.” Rounding the bill will be local favorites Whitewater Bluegrass Co. and Mountain Faith.
