Memorial Day wagon train
The Moonshine Wagon Train’s recent trip departed from the Caney Fork home of Marty and Vicki Brooks early on Memorial Day. Kareen Ogle captured this image as the horses and wagons headed up Caney Fork into the mountains of the Roy Taylor National Forest for a weeked of camping. This is the seventh year for this wagon train, which includes area residents as well as participants from Tennessee and South Carolina. Seven wagons and teams, one cart and two riders made up the Memorial Day train. The wagon trains are annual events on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends. The group takes a one-week each Fourth of July. |
