‘Jackson’ added to Courthouse
County workers installed new letters and added the word “Jackson” to the front of the old Courthouse last week. Melvin Barnes and Mike Caldwell first spent several days removing the old lettering and repairing and repainting the front of the building, and then they installed the new letters. Commissioners approved the change last year, it took several months for the specially-ordered letters to arrive, county Manager Ken Westmoreland said. – Herald photo by Derek Hodges |
